So far, the crooks have robbed victims in Daytona Beach, DeLand and west Melbourne.Police say one of the main suspects is probably elderly. Detectives say they believe one of the suspects maybe in his 60s or 70s. One victim told WFTV the man told her he was a minister and he needed her help. Investigators say the man and another man have either been scamming elderly people out of money or forcing them to withdraw money out of their bank accounts.“My heart was just going like this. I didn't want him to kill me, so I go,” said an 80-year-old victim who didn’t want to be identified. The 80-year-old woman told WFTV she was targeted last month in the public parking lot in west Melbourne. Two men approached her and said they found an envelope full of cash, but when they couldn't get her to fall for their scam they forced her into a car, drove her to bank and made her withdraw money.“I could see something in his pocket because I know what a gun looks like,” she said. The 80-year-old woman said she ended up withdrawing money for the suspects because she was afraid for her life.
