Senator John McCain Stumps For Bush In Central Florida

The race for the White House is again playing out in Central Florida on Wednesday. Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) is in town to support President George W. Bush's re-election bid.

Brevard County is seeing its share of political figures these days. Last week, presidential candidate John Kerry and Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge were in town.

Wednesday is Arizona senator John McCain's turn. He arrived at the Radisson at the port Wednesday morning. He first spoke privately to a group of veterans and will then speak with the Tiger Bay Club, a political group of both Democrats and Republicans.

"We all know that Florida will be a battle ground state. We need to make sure we carry it for Bush," McCain said.

When McCain is done in Brevard, he is heading up the coast, stopping in a handful of other Florida cities Wednesday, on the way to a big Bush-Cheney rally Wednesday evening in Jacksonville.
