Investigators say, as far as they know, the man has yet to commit any crimes. But he's been spotted in or around at least three daycares, Buenaventura Lakes all the way up to Orlando.
It was a regular day at the Gingerbread House daycare, when the man walked in, stood around for a while, waited for parents to leave the front office and then flashed a badge that said private investigator and asked to use the phone inside.
"It's very scary. He left a very unsettling feeling with staff members here. Just something wasn't right about him," says daycare manager Nancy Ryan.
Workers refused and now we've learned two other daycare centers reported contact with the same suspected stalker.
"Right now, he could be [a stalker]. We don't know his reasons for being there," says Capt. July Rivers, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
Parents like Marjorie Castillo desperately want to find out.
"My heart was in my mouth. I'm thinking, oh my gosh!" says Castillo.
Castillo takes her four-year-old son to God's Little Lambs daycare, where a man with the same description was spotted casing the place.
"I'm concerned, just concerned," says Castillo.
So are daycare managers and they are increasing security and surveillance, hoping, if the man pops up again, someone recognizes him and calls 9-1-1.
"We hope that, if they see anything, or have seen anything that can help us identify this guy, that they will," says Rivers.
The man is about six-feet tall, 250 pounds, has been seen wearing a long black coat, and driving an older model black Jeep Cherokee with no tag. If you've seen him, you're asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.
