ORLANDO, Fla. -- An Orange County woman wants to warn other female joggers after she says two men attacked her during rush hour in Orlando's MetroWest area.
The woman, who wishes to only be identified as Jen, was running along Arnold Palmer Drive when someone grabbed her from behind. She says one of the attackers put a knife to her neck and tried to pull her into a car.She struggled and managed to get free, and sprinted home."It's scary to think how many people are out there jogging," said Jen, "how many single ladies. We were driving around today [and] saw ladies jogging, and it could happen to any of them."Jen says she never saw the men, because they attacked her from behind and she never looked back as she was running away. She received some minor physical wounds, but the emotional toll is difficult to measure.Orlando police say this type of attack has become more common in the MetroWest area.
