ORLANDO, Fla. -- A downtown Orlando home is still roped off by crime tape, nearly a day after someone shot a woman in the head. Police started searching the home yesterday and continued throughout the night.
23-year-old Trisha Kane was found shot in the head inside a house on Virginia Drive, and, at last check, was listed in critical condition at Orlando Regional Medical Center.Police investigators are trying to figure exactly what happened at this house. Police say Trisha and her roommate where home when the shooting happened. The call came in yesterday morning reporting that Kane had shot herself in the head, and tried to commit suicide. When police got to the home and started looking through the evidence, they realized things weren't adding up.Detectives are being extremely tight-lipped about this investigation and have not told us why what type of evidence leads them to believe this could be a homicide. At this point, the roommate has only been questioned. Police officers are currently interviewing other people in the area.
