Woman Beaten With Tree Limb During Storage Unit Robbery

Tuesday, July 26, 2005 – updated: 5:39 pm EDT July 26, 2005

Deputies are searching for a violent attacker who beat a storage unit worker and robbed the business.

Employee Lisa Boyer said a man with a two-foot tree limb barged into Alafaya Self Storage, on Alafaya Trail, and beat her severely Monday afternoon.

Boyer was able to escape out a back window after the man robbed her and the business. She then flagged down two passing drivers.

"She was just hysterical. We tried to calm her down. She said he was going to come and kill her, that he was still in there and coming after her," said eyewitness Christina Harrob.

The suspect is described as a black male with light skin, in his early 30s with very short hair. He wore a white polo shirt that police believe was covered in blood after the brutal crime.
