Jan Hall
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Embattled elementary school teacher Jan Hall was officially suspended after a heated Orange County school board meeting Tuesday night.

The formal suspension takes the teacher's pay away until further notice.

At Tuesday night's meeting, there was some heated testimony from Orange County residents. One person said constitutional rights were being eroded by the board's response to Hall's views.

Hall was suspended for racial remarks she allegedly wrote to a congressman that blame certain minorities for larger school problems.
