More Women Accuse Orlando Doctor Of Inappropriate Contact

Tuesday, November 29, 2005 – updated: 6:11 pm EST November 29, 2005

As many as seven more women have come forward with accusations that an east Orange County doctor groped them during examinations.

Regan Burke
Detectives arrested Dr. Regan Burke on Monday night at the Waterford Family Medical Center off Alafaya Trail.

Investigators said an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old each claimed Burke touched them inappropriately and forcibly removed some of their clothes during their exams.

No one was talking in his office Tuesday. But some of his loyal patients came to his defense.

"Yeah, he gives me a hug, but that doesn't mean he touched me inappropriately," said patient Jamie Sirochman.

So far, Dr. Burke, who has five children, is facing only a misdemeanor battery charge, but investigators said they expect him to face more serious charges.
