City May Limit Lake Eola Homeless Feedings To Twice Yearly

ORLANDO, Fla. -- An ordinance aimed at curbing feeding the homeless in Orlando city parks has cleared the first hurdle.The group Food Not Bombs has been providing regular meals for the homeless in Lake Eola Park, but nearby business owners complained.The new ordinance would require a permit for large group meals and limit them to just twice a year.Monday night, the Orlando city council passed the first reading of the ordinance 5-2. A final vote is expected on July 10.
