Tuesday, June 20, 2006 – updated: 11:06 am EDT June 21, 2006

MARION COUNTY, Fla. -- A Marion County sheriff's deputy was fired Tuesday for what he posted on his MySpace.com page.

Brian Quinn was terminated for conduct unbecoming an officer. The sheriff's office said the information on his MySpace site violated the office's code of ethics.

Detectives with the Marion Youth Internet Crimes Unit first found the posting and notified sheriff's supervisors.

Quinn was new to the department and still under probationary status.
