Commissioners To Decide If Book Should Be Removed From Library

MARION COUNTY, Fla. -- Marion County commissioners will decide if a controversial book should come off the shelves in the county library system. The book is a collection of 24 statements attributed to Osama bin Laden.A library patron filed a complaint, asking that the book, Messages to the World: The Statements of Osama bin Laden, be removed. The patron complained that the book openly recruits young people to kill Americans.The library director refused to remove the book.The commission will consider an appeal Wednesday morning.
