All three airlines affected by Thursday's announced terror plot have provided the option to reschedule or reroute certain travel without penalty, provided the tickets were purchased on or before Aug. 10 for intended travel to, from or through the United Kingdom up until Sept. 1.

- United Airlines has posted its revised ticket policy and can be contacted at 800-864-8331.
- American Airlines has posted their updated travel policy here and can be reached at 800-433-7300.
- US Airways is waiving excess baggage charges for passengers traveling to or from Britain and is letting travelers already en route make one ticket change without the normal change fees or restrictions if their destination cities remain the same.Passengers who haven't started their travel may make one change in travel plans without change fees for the same destination -- or may cancel their flight -- if they do so before midnight of the date of travel.The airline did not say how long the rule changes will be in place.
