Man Electrocuted While Trying To Steal Copper Wire

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. -- An attempt to steal some copper wire from the top of a power pole came to a deadly end Wednesday in Winter Garden.Police said the man was trying to grab the wire when he got electrocuted. An eyewitness said he heard an explosion and saw the man fall to the ground."Don't know what happened. All I know is I looked over, saw an explosion and I saw him falling off of the pole," said eyewitness Charles Mason. "All I know is, when he hit, I came up here and called 911."The victim was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead. His name was not released.
