Boca Raton Grandview tops Orlando Christian 51-40

LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) -- Ivan Canete had 16 points and eight rebounds to lead Boca Raton Grandview Prep to a 51-40 victory over Orlando Christian Prep in the boys' Class 2A state basketball championship game.

Grandview (28-2) used a tremendous defensive effort to keep Orlando Christian off balance and forced the Warriors into poor shots all game. Orlando Christian (20-8) shot just 11 of 38 from the floor (28.9 percent).

The Pride kept a single-digit lead for much of the contest but Orlando Christian cut the deficit to 38-35 midway through the fourth period. Eric Mance and Sean Walsh pushed the lead back to seven with back-to-back baskets in transition and Windale Glinton scored off of an offensive rebound with two minutes left to ice the game.

Adonys Henriquez scored 17 points to lead the Warriors. Mance added 16 points for Grandview and Glinton had 10 points and nine rebounds.
