Deputies search for gas station robbery suspect

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies in Brevard County are searching for the man who robbed a Shell gas station Saturday morning.

The robbery happened around 7 a.m. at the Shell gas station on Fay Boulevard in Cocoa, deputies said.

The suspect went into the bathroom of the gas station before coming out wearing a black mask and pointing a gun at the clerk, investigators said.

Deputies told WFTV the suspect demanded money from the clerk and then fled on a bicycle. The victim was not injured during the robbery, deputies said.

Deputies searched the area using K-9 dogs and a helicopter, but the suspect was not found. Deputies did find some evidence nearby, including the suspect's gun.

Investigators released a surveillance photo of the suspect, who is described as a white male, between 25 and 35-years-old, and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, jeans and white tennis shoes.
