Bru's Clues: Week 13 College Football Picks

That was one of the most incredible weekends of college football I’ve ever seen. The slate of games was not great, but the finishes were unreal. We only have two more weeks of games before the regular season wraps up, so cherish it while it’s here.

Here’s a collection of gifs from the amazing endings from Georgia-Auburn, UCF-Temple and Michigan-Northwestern.

An average week 12 has "The Clues" sitting at 34-24 for the season against the spread. Let's try and get back on the right side of .500 with this week's picks.

Rutgers – UCF

The front pews at Orlando churches were likely filled with Knights players after Saturday’s come-from-behind win against lowly Temple. Head coach George O’Leary told his team to be front and center if they were headed to church on Sunday.

This will be the close call that UCF needed. Every great season seems to have one close call against a team that shouldn’t have kept it that close. Rutgers is coming off an embarrassing performance against Cincinnati and the Knights are going to be more focused than they have all season.

The Scarlet Knights defense just gave up 600 yards to the Bearcats and UCF could have one of their top targets Breshad Perriman back from injury.

Pick: UCF (-16.5)

Idaho – Florida State

This may be the least talked about game of the season for FSU. The Jameis Winston situation seems to have a bombshell headline drop every morning. Wednesday it was the accuser’s comments and then on Thursday the DNA match.

The court of public opinion seems to be swaying against Jameis at this point, but this is still an ongoing investigation and Willie Meggs still has more work to do before he makes a decision on whether or not to charge Jameis.

As for the football, I’m not sure it matters who the Seminoles play at quarterback this week. They are going to win and they are going to win big. Devonta Freeman, James Wilder Jr. and Kermit Whitfield will be running wild in Tallahassee.

Pick: Florida State (-56.5)

Georgia Southern – Florida

The Gators offense showed some new wrinkles on the road at South Carolina. What took so long?

Although this team has lost five straight, they made it clear in Columbia they have not quit on Will Muschamp.  The defense was flying around and Ronald Powell played one of his best games as a Gator.

Florida needs a confidence boosting win and I think they take out all their frustrations on the Eagles.

Pick: Florida (-26.5)

Virginia – Miami

The Hurricanes have dropped three straight and have now lost the inside track to the ACC Championship game. Luckily for Al Golden, they get to face a team this weekend that is on a worse stretch than the Canes.

Miami has struggled mightily with the loss of star running back Duke Johnson. Stephen Morris should be able to build his confidence this week against a Cavaliers defense that is giving up nearly 34 points per game.

Pick: Miami (-19.5)

Other games I like:

Baylor (-9.5)

Ohio State (-34.5)

Enjoy one of the last weekend’s of regular season college football.
