Crist Gives YouTube Apology In Lawsuit

FLORIDA — Former Governor Charlie Crist issued an apology on YouTube on Monday as part of a settlement he reached in a copyright lawsuit.

David Byrne, who is the singer of the band The Talking Heads, sued Crist for $1 million for using the band's song, "Road to Nowhere" without permission.

Crist's U.S. Senate campaign used the song in a YouTube video attacking Marco Rubio.

Crist settled the suit out of court and released the apology video.

"I sincerely apologize to David Byrne," Crist said.

The terms of the rest of the settlement are confidential.
