Thanks to everyone who stepped up to participate in the United Way Days of Caring on September 28!
WFTV/WRDQ staff was out at the Coalition for the Homeless all day painting, playing with the kids, serving lunch and more.
Each year, more than 1,800 volunteers from our region's leading companies take part in Days of Caring, which benefits local nonprofits and the people they serve.
Types of Projects that local individuals and businesses took part in:
- Mentoring teens at Pace Center for Girls
- Sprucing up a Boys & Girls Club game room
- Serving breakfast to families at the Coalition for the Homeless
- Creating art projects with children at Orlando Day Nursery
- And much, much more!
You can still volunteer! For more information about Days of Caring, contact the United Way Volunteer Resource Center at (407) 429-2136 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
