"Ender's Game" Ends Up at Top Box Office Spot

"Ender's Game" outplayed all the others at U.S. and Canadian box offices over the weekend, collecting $28 million in its first three days. It's a futuristic story based on the best-selling 1985 novel about a young boy who is selected to undergo advanced warfare training because of his high IQ. Last weekend's comedy standout, "Bad Grandpa," starring Johnny Knoxville, seemed to lose some steam dropping to second at the box office, with $20.5 million in ticket sales.
