ORLANDO, Fla. —

Dine With Shamu at SeaWorld Orlando brings you up close to the magnificent whales as you sit poolside and enjoy a tasty buffet.

This exciting experience allows you to not only to enjoy sustainable and natural foods, such as all-natural grain-fed Black Angus strip loin and 100% natural cinnamon-cured roasted pork loin (click to see seasonal menu), but  you will  witness the incredible interaction between the killer whales and their trainers.

icFlorida.com and WFTV.com spoke with trainer Jeremy Proffitt, who said, "We get a chance to influence and educate people. We are kind of ambassadors for them (the whales)."

The trainers communicate with the whales using body language. The trainers also said that psychology is very important in getting to know and understand the whales' personalities.

While enjoying a slice of key lime pie, one of the many signature desserts served at Dine With Shamu, you will see the respect the trainers have for the whales as they perform beautiful jumps and charm you with their fun-loving personalities.

The bond that the trainers have, not only with the whales but also with each other, is evident and very important.

"We have to trust each other to keep each other safe," said Melissa, a SeaWorld trainer.

It’s a behind-the-scenes experience that will connect you to their world like never before, and it’s only at SeaWorld Orlando.

The rate to take part in this most amazing dining experience is as follows:

  • $29 adults
  • $19 children (ages 3 through 9)

Tax not included. Park admission is required.

*Receive a FREE child’s (ages 3–9) meal with each new full-paid adult with reservations made before December 25, 2012 (no further discounts).
