The illustrious Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli graced the Amway Center stage last night and set a new venue record for highest gross ticket sales totaling $1,620,171. Bocelli bested the previous record set by pop superstar, Lady Gaga on April 15, 2010 (insert previous gross).
The performance highlighted Bocelli's world renowned repertoire featuring both classical and pop performances of soaring arias along with the world’s most famous love songs. Bocelli was also joined on stage by the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park Choir for several songs. Amway Center’s Valentine’s weekend performance marked Andrea Bocelli’s first-ever appearance in Orlando. Central Floridian’s expressed adoration for his debut performance with multiple standing ovations.
