Just weeks before Christmas, the mother of these 10 children was struck and killed on Lee Road after her car broke down. Six of her children were in the car and saw their mother get hit and killed.
She worked three jobs to keep her children under one roof. Now they are split up among the homes of three relatives. The children long to be back together. Their grandmother, Andrea Wingster, is in the process of getting custody of all 10 children. However, she only has a two bedroom apartment and clearly not enough space to house all of them.
The Wingster Family Fund has been established by WFTV Channel 9. The fund will assist the Wingster children with their basic needs during this tragic time. Several builders have also expressed interest in building the family a new home if enough funds are raised. The children are extremely grateful for any amount you could give to help cover their living expenses and make sure they all stay together.
