Free community health screening - Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) screenings

TITUSVILLE, Fla. — Parrish Medical Center offers FREE Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) screenings by appointment only Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Call 321-268-6150 to schedule an appointment.

PAD is a circulatory condition that develops when arteries in your legs become clogged with plaque—fatty deposits that limit blood flow to your legs. PAD may also be a sign of blocked arteries in the heart and brain. People with PAD have a two-to-six times greater risk for heart attack or stroke.

This screening is most appropriate for people over age 50; who smoke or used to smoke; have diabetes, high blood pressure or high blood cholesterol; have a personal history of vascular disease, heart attack, or stroke; or are African American. Screenings are performed by health professionals at the following locations:

  • PMC, 951 N. Washington Ave., Titusville, Fla. on Wednesdays and Thursdays
  • Parrish Health & Fitness Center, 2210 Cheney Highway (Hwy 50), Titusville, Fla., on Fridays

The screening test takes 30–40 minutes, and you are only required to remove your shoes and socks.
