History Center's Warner Bros. cartoon exhibit is delightful fun

ORLANDO, Fla. — Warner Bros. fans in Orlando rejoice! Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig and company take the spotlight at the Orange County Regional History Center's new exhibit, "The Art of Warner Bros. Cartoons," created by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. I was delighted to be invited to get an exclusive first look at the exhibit so that I could share with you what is in store.

The exhibit teaches you about the creative process that gave us Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote, and their comrades, and turned these entertaining animated short films into a cultural phenomenon. Each step of the animation process is shown and you learn how it contributed to the overall success of the cartoon. From camera movements and musical cues, to witty dialogue and expressive drawings, each step of the process was perfected to convey the attitudes and charm of the characters. The show includes original artwork and clips — including some no longer seen on television — from the 1930s through the '60s. This exhibit runs now until  March 23, 2014.
