Students participate in Pasta for Pennies

WRDQ 27 Community Connection is proud to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Pasta for Pennies program which depends on local students to raise money and awareness in the fight against cancer. Each year, dozens of schools step up to participate and raise big money in the fight!

Pasta for Pennies Presented by Olive Garden is a service learning, character education and philanthropy program that gives students a unique experience making a difference through teamwork—working together to aid thousands of children and adults in the fight blood cancers like leukemia.

How it Works: Students collect spare change over a three-week period of the school's choice. The change can come from friends or relatives or underneath the couch cushions. What's important is that the change is collected.
