1 arrested in synthetic marijuana bust at Okahumpka Mobil Mart

OKAHUMPKA, Fla. — The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit served a search warrant at a Mobil Mart gas station on CR-48 in Okahumpka in reference to the sale of illegal synthetic marijuana, authorities said Friday.

The search warrant was a result of a month-long investigation.

Detectives arrested Muhammad Azhar, who works at the business.

During the search of the business, detectives said they found more than 400 packages of synthetic marijuana.

Detectives said they also seized smoking devices, rolling papers and other items that are associated with the sale of synthetic marijuana.

Azhar was charged with three counts of possession of illegal synthetic marijuana and three counts of sale of illegal synthetic marijuana.

The investigation continues in reference to the owner of the business and the involvement they might have played in reference to the sale of illegal synthetic marijuana, detectives said.
