1 dead, 3 jailed in fatal Florida drug deal

MARIANNA, Fla. — Authorities say a man is dead and three suspects are behind bars following a botched drug deal in the Florida Panhandle.
 
The shooting happened Sunday in Marianna.
 
The News Herald of Panama City reports Patrick Register and Travis Marvin Locke were shot while trying to buy pseudoephedrine pills used to cook methamphetamine. Register died and Locke was treated for injuries.
 
Jackson County Sheriff's deputies say Dayeisha Curry and two men ambushed Locke and Register and tried to rob them. Deputies identified Curry as a suspect and stopped her car in Marianna. All three were arrested.
 
Curry and Christopher Laster are charged with principle in the first-degree to homicide and attempted homicide. Jordan Davis faces an open count of murder and attempted murder. It's unclear whether they've retained attorneys.
