1 dead after shooting in Orlando home

ORLANDO, Fla. — A man was shot in a home on the 900 block of Cadogan Avenue at about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to Orlando police.

The shooting victim, 32, was taken to a local hospital, where he died, police said.

Police said they are investigating whether an abandoned van that was found nearby is related to the shooting.

Officers said shell casings were also found a few blocks away.

"We have a burned-out vehicle found where this crime had occurred. So, detectives are going to try to make any determination on whether it’s connected or not. At this point, it’s too early to tell," said Jim Young of the Orlando Police Department.

The man's name was not released.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crimeline at 1-800-423- TIPS.
