ORLANDO, Fla. — One person was killed in a crash on eastbound State Road 408 at Orange Avenue Tuesday night, police said.
The crash shut down the highway and backed up traffic to Westmoreland Drive.
The crash was reported at about 7:40 p.m.
According to the Orlando Police Department, a vehicle was driving east on State Road 408, hit safety barrels on the side of the road and drove over the ramp.
The vehicle crashed onto the ground below, killing the driver, the OPD said.
The highway reopened just after 10 p.m.
No other information was immediately available on the incident.
