12 people rescued from Transformers ride after technical glitch

ORLANDO, Fla. — A dozen riders had to be rescued from the Transformers: The Ride 3-D at Universal Studios Orlando following a technical glitch on Tuesday.

The Orlando Fire Department responded to the scene and used safety harnesses to secure the 12 people who were on the ride.

Once secured, all riders were able to climb down a ladder to safety.

No one was injured.

Officials have not said when the ride will be back up and running.

Transformers: The Ride 3-D is one of the park’s newer rides, having opened last summer.
