NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - A 15-year-old southwest Florida boy is charged with killing his mother.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office investigators found the body 42-year-old Tamara Jean Davis on Sunday after neighbors reported a horrible odor coming from her North Fort Myers house. She had been reported missing on Aug. 24.
Neighbors told the News-Press of Fort Myers that the smell had been getting worse over the past two weeks.
Investigators arrested the son, Tyrese Landrum. He is being held in a juvenile detention facility pending a hearing on Sept. 18.
Sheriff's officials spent much of Monday at the home gathering evidence.
