The shooting was reported at about 10 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

The two victims were in the living room when someone opened fire from outside, OPD said.

"My little girl, grandbaby, she got hit in the stomach, and my daughter was sitting toward the back, and my cousin was laying in that room with the window. The bullet went over him, and it hit the TV," said Dianne Richardson, the little girl's grandmother and aunt for the 17-year-old.

She told Eyewitness News that her home has been shot at three times in the last three years, but that she had no clue why. Investigators were trying to determine if the shooter targeted the two or if it was a random incident.

Neighbors told Eyewitness News that it may have been prompted by something on social media.

Richardson said she just hopes someone who knows anything will come forward.

"I want justice for my baby. My baby, so I don't care what you all say about me. I want justice for my baby, and God is going to do that, because I know the God that I serve," Richardson said.

The 13-year-old girl was released from the hospital before noon Thursday.
