2 stabbed at Orlando Popeye's restaurant

ORLANDO, Fla. — Police said they now know the motive behind a double stabbing at a popular Orlando eatery.

Authorities said Alexander Lopez stabbed two people at a Popeye's restaurant on Lake Underhill Road Thursday night because they wouldn't help identify a man who beat him up earlier in the night.

Police said the two stabbing victims did not know Lopez and didn't want to get involved.

Officers said Lopez tracked them down to the Popeye’s restaurant and pulled out a small pocket knife, stabbing one victim six times.

Both victims are expected to be OK.
