CITRA, Fla. —

Three people were arrested on murder and grand theft auto charges in connection to a fatal house fire in Marion County, authorities said Thursday.

Deputies said tips led them Dillon Gresham, 23, Angel Faith Long, 22, and Timothy Mayhew, 20, who were hiding in Alabama.

Authorities said the Citra home was intentionally set fire on July 16 to cover up the death of Robert Hiles, 64, and to destroy any evidence connecting the three to the crime.

Investigators said the three then stole Hiles' 1999 Oldsmobile Cutlass.

Detectives said the trio was extradited back to Marion County, Florida and charged with first-degree murder.
