39th Annual Turkey Rod kicks off in Daytona Beach

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Thousands of people spent their Thanksgiving in Daytona Beach for the 39th Annual Turkey Rod on Thursday.

Organizers said it's the largest car show in the country, drawing 125,000 car enthusiasts.

Every year, people come from all over the world to show, buy, sell and trade classic and custom cars and their parts.

Many also go to watch.

"We just come over here to see all of these beautiful cars," said resident Kelsey Brachok.

Millions of dollars from the event are donated to charities.

The Turkey Rod runs through Sunday.
