Four people were arrested Thursday in an attempted bank robbery in Apopka, Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies said.
Sheriff Jerry Demings said multiple agencies have been searching for the men for several weeks.
He said the suspects are suspected in multiple bank robberies throughout Central Florida.
“They were dangerous. They were armed. We have recovered multiple firearms,” Demings said. “We are elated we were able to take them into custody.”

Sue Donaldson was working in her Christmas tree lot when investigators moved in on the men.
One of them made a break for it, leaving behind a blonde wig as he ran.
“Next thing you know, I heard a whole bunch of yelling and I looked up and here comes this guy weaving and bobbing through our Christmas trees,” Donaldson said.
The suspects were taken into custody without incident, deputies said.
The FBI is investigating.
