ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - State troopers said they are waiting to speak with a victim Monday who was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Orange County.
Troopers said the woman was hit by a car and dragged along Ivey Lane on Sunday, shortly after a nearby shooting at a block party where four people were hurt.
The hit-and-run victim is recovering at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Troopers said they have very few clues to go on.
The working theory between the Orange County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Highway Patrol is that the driver who hit the woman was trying to get away from the shooting on Conley Street.
Residents told Channel 9 that someone was hosting a large party and that the crowd had spilled into the street.
A 28-year-old man and a 26-year-old man who were wounded in the shooting drove themselves to Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, McCullough said.
McCullough also said that a 21-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man drove themselves to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Troopers said they don't have witnesses and they haven't been able to talk to the victim because doctors have been working to save her.
A second woman was reportedly hit by the vehicle as well. She suffered minor injuries, and troopers said she was not able to tell troopers very much.
Troopers weren't able to obtain a description of the vehicle.
The shooting victims are expected to survive.
Troopers said that on Wednesday, they will visit the woman seriously injured in the hit-and-run.
