6-year-old injured in accidental shooting in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies are investigating after a  6-year-old girl was injured in an accidental shooting Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Orange County Sheriffs’ office, just after 4:30 p.m. they got a call for a reported shooting in the 800 block of N Hastings St.

Investigators say that when deputies arrived on scene they found the child with a gunshot wound.

The girl was taken to hospital where she is listed in stable condition.

Deputies have not said exactly how the child was shot, only that it was accidental.

So far no charges have been filed and the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
