7-foot gator found on front lawn of Cocoa home

COCOA, Fla. — A Cocoa homeowner got quite a scare when she spotted a seven-foot alligator hanging out on her front lawn.

Trappers were called in to remove the gator from her Brevard County property.

The woman's husband told WFTV they're used to seeing wildlife, but that was a first.

"We usually have other animals: raccoons, possums, of that nature, but never an alligator," said the homeowner.

Brevard County Animal Services said the gator will probably be relocated.
