LEESBURG, Fla. - A Leesburg woman whose arm was torn off by an alligator has survived several surgeries and will be transferred to a rehab center to continue recovering.
Carol Hough, 84, was attacked by an alligator in a canal behind her Cypress Creek mobile home last Wednesday.
Officials said hamburger and fish parts found in the gator's belly was proof someone was feeding it, allowing it to get too comfortable with people.
