911 call helps deputies track down suspected burglars

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — A Deltona man’s call to 911 helped deputies catch a trio of suspected crooks who were breaking into his neighbor’s house.

“My neighbor is being robbed,” the 911 caller said. “I saw them get a TV.”

Investigators said that neighbor called 911 when he heard Anthony Serafin and two 17-year-old boys break through the sliding glass door of a home off Kettering Road Thursday morning.

Deputies said the trio took off in a stolen van, but when they jumped from the van authorities caught them moments later.

Deputies are trying to connect them to other nearby burglaries.
