LAKE COUNTY, Fla. - Florida Highway Patrol troopers were at the scene of an accident with injuries near Eustis Friday afternoon.
According to troopers the accident happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of S.R. 44A and Forestdel Drive when a tractor-trailer and a car collided.
Troopers said a car, driven by Juan Luevano, Jr., 22, of DeLand, turned into the path of a tractor-trailer driven by Otis Clayton, 61, of Umatilla.
According to troopers, Luevano, and his passengers Juan Luevano, 43, and James Blacker, 44, were all taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. All three suffered serious injuries in the accident, troopers said.
Helicopters arrived to took two of the patient to the hospital.
S.R. 44A was shut down while troopers investigated the accident.
FHP troopers said charges are pending in the accident.
