Acid bomb explodes outside Lake Mary home; 4 arrested

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. - The Seminole County Sheriff's Office said deputies arrested four teenagers, accused of setting off an acid bomb at the front door of a Lake Mary home.

The acid bomb exploded at about 9:30 p.m. Monday outside the home on Cherry Lake Way.

Denise Paquette said she heard a car pull up in front of the house. Paquette said she went to her window and saw a white pickup truck parked outside with a man riding in the truck bed. The truck's driver then drove away from the home.

Paquette said she then heard a loud bang and saw black smoke filling the front porch area of the home.

She and her husband provided deputies a direction of travel for the truck.

Deputies said they made the arrests in Orange County at the Lee Road exit on Interstate 4.

Investigators said the acid bomb did not cause any damage and there were no injuries.
