FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. — A woman is accused of driving drunk in a Nassau County crash that killed two boys and injured several other children.

Citing crash reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, media outlets say 33-year-old Tonya Naomi Capallia-Eason had alcohol in her system when she failed to negotiate a curve, crossed a lane, left the road and struck a utility pole.

The SUV she was driving overturned, killing 8-year-old Nehemiah Capallia-Bird and 9-year-old Nicholai Capallia.

At least five other children, ages seven to 15, were also injured and taken to the hospital, as was the driver.

The crash report says the driver was wearing a seat belt, but it's unclear if any of the children were in seat belts or child restraints.

Troopers say charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
