Children who were reported missing found safe with great-grandmother

OCALA, Fla. — A Florida missing child alert had been issued for Lauren Rowe, 5, and Josiah Rowe, 2.

However, WFTV received information that Carneva Harrison Ashley, and her two great grandchildren, Lauren Rowe and Landyn Rowe, have arrived home in Miami safe and sound.  Officer Doug Russell received a call from Katrina Rowe, mother of the children, that her grandmother arrived just minutes ago at her home with her two children.

Officials said the three were supposed to go to Calhoun to pick up a relative, Alfonso Harrison, from the Department of Corrections, but they stopped in Ocala and stayed the night with a relative.

Due to a change in plans, the trip to Calhoun was canceled and the travelers headed back to Miami on Thursday morning.

The family had not heard from them since Thursday, officers said.
