Amber Alert canceled for 4-year-old boy after woman's body found in Jacksonville apartment

An Amber Alert has been issued Norris Dail Jr., 4.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement canceled an Amber Alert for a 4-year-old boy after a woman's body was found in an apartment in the 3800 block of University Blvd. S.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called to the La Esperanza apartments at 3830 University Blvd. S. for a welfare check on Wednesday afternoon and the woman's body was found.

The child, Norris Dail Jr., 4, and the woman's boyfriend, Norris Dail Sr., 26, were missing, as well as Dail's car, a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant with a Maryland tag, 1BK9546. The license plate is a Baltimore Ravens specialty plate, FDLE said, and there is a Baltimore Ravens sticker on one of the windows.

Police are still looking for Norris and the vehicle.

According to Maryland Judiciary System court filings, two domestic cases were filed against Dail Sr. in 2015. Dail Sr. was also a party in a custody hearing in Maryland in 2015, according to court records.
