• Officials: Apopka auto repair business damaged in fire


    ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - An auto repair business in Apopka sustained heavy damage when a fire broke out Saturday morning, according to officials.

    A passerby called 911 after noticing smoke coming from the business on the 800 block of Robinson Avenue around 4:45 a.m., officials said. Firefighters from Apopka and Orange County responded to the blaze.

    Crews were able to knock down the fire in less than an hour, according to officials. Firefighters said the inside of the building sustained heavy damage.

    Officials said there is no word on the cause of the fire and the State Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate.
