Gunman storms into local 7-Eleven, demands cash

ORLANDO, Fla. — Investigators hope new clues will help them track down a violent gunman who robbed a 7-Eleven on Conroy Road early Tuesday morning.

Police said the man walked in and demanded money from the clerks at the registers.

According to a police report, the man said to the clerk, "Give me the money or I'll kill you."

Meanwhile, a manager was in the back office and tried to call police, but the phone did not have a battery and he did not own a cellphone, the report said.

The robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man is described as a black man, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall in his early 20s. The man was wearing a gray long sleeved shirt and blue jeans.

Witnesses said they saw a man matching the robber's description get into a newer-model Dodge Charger and drive away.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators are trying to determine if the robbery is connected to a rash of similar crimes. Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.
