Arrests made in large Volusia Co. criminal organization

VOLUSIA CO, Fla. — Volusia County authorities are in the process of dismantling a criminal organization they said deals with large quantities of cocaine and marijuana.

Six people linked to the drug trafficking network were arrested Friday on money laundering charges.

Deputies said the arrests were phase two of what they're calling Operation Bo-Flex.

The operations got its name from Fred Hanson who goes by the nickname Bo, and was reported to be one of the organization’s main drug supplies.

Hanson was arrested in the main phase of the investigation.

Investigators said he would give cash from the drug proceeds to several of his associates, who would then write a check to Hanson’s painting company
