Police: Missing 12-year-old returns home

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Police in Kissimmee said a missing 12-year-old girl who got in an argument with her mother on Saturday has returned home.

Diamond Freeman, 12, walked away from her Kissimmee apartment off Hoagland Boulevard Saturday evening, according to police.

"She's a bright child, very bright, soft-hearted," mother Tiffany Freeman said.

Tiffany Freeman said her daughter is a student at Kissimmee Middle School and does well in school. But Tiffany Freeman admits her daughter's life hasn't been perfect. The 12-year-old is on probation for stealing a car and she's run away before.

According to police, Diamond Freeman returned home safe Monday afternoon.
